Don’t do it if you don’t see it in the headlines

If you can’t seem to finish a product, delete it.


If you can’t delete it, collaborate. Make it available. A stranger singing badly over your music instrumental is better than a half-finished or deleted file.


Collaborations might not impress you very much. You might think that you could do better. You could, if you got it finished.


Find hobbyists. People who don’t take it as seriously as you. They’ll fly your flag. Don’t worry about them tarnishing your reputation. People will quickly sense the status roles at play.


Don’t worry too much about being ripped off. We spend too much time worrying that someone else will take the credit when something we’ve done goes viral.


It won’t go viral. Because we don’t play the lottery, we quietly listen to the needs of our audience.


If it’s a product you don’t see in the headlines, be free of it, one way or another.
